I purchased on EBAY an HP Media Center PC m7674n. The seller had upgraded the operating system to Vista 64, not knowing that this would create the need for many new Drivers. As a result my sound card is not working and the personal media drive (a USB device) do not work. I contacted HP that had a fix for the media drive problem that would not execute properly. While trying to solve this problem I did a search on CNET and found a program Called DriveMax. There is no price specified and it's review says you can sign in as a guest for free. Elsewher it states it is free to download. HOwever only after you download all the software your are told you must register (revealing your E-Mail to them and then they tell you it is 29.99 to use the software. Nowhere is seen a place to register as a guest. CNET needs to update there review or talk to the Vendor.
Reply 1 : DriverMax listed as FREE but it is NOT
I did a search of Download.com and couldn't find any listing for it.
Can you supply the URL web address for that DriveMax program you downloaded from CNET? Then we can check.
Many thanks.
Mark
