Retain name of songs when converting audio CDs

Hi, Does anyone know a software where you can convert/rip music CDs and retain the name of the songs, artist etc. without being on line?

The name of the songs and artist isn't on the CD. That's why you need to access an online database to find out about them. So that software doesn't exist.

Copying the existing database (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CDDB) to your own hard disk and patching the ripping software to use that doesn't seem a good idea to me.

Thanks very much Kees. That clarifies it. No, plus seems too complex for me. Do you know of a reliable free software that can be used to RIP CDs when on-line?
