Is this worth a TRADE? 6920g 7540

ive got an offer to swap my 6920g

Specs:



CPU: T9300 @ 2.5GHZ 6MB L2

GPU: Nvidia 9500m GS 512MB

Screen Res Max: 1366 X 768

Windows 7 Ultimate

Blu-Ray/Bluetooth/320GB 5200rpm/Finger print



EDIT:

7540:



CPU: AMD Athlon II X2 Processor M300 2GHZ 1MB L2 (can this be upgraded to faster than mine?)

Gpu: ATI Radeon HD 4200 GPU

Screen Res: 1900 X 900

Windows 7 Ultimate

Blueray/No Bluetooth (or was not installed) 320GB

3GB ram

I'm pretty sure the 7540 uses an AMD CPU, which will probably mean it is less powerful than a C2D even if you upgraded it. I don't think I'd bother with the swap unless you really want a larger screen.

it did seem abit slow to start up and load the messenger (msn)



so if it carnt be upgraded better than mine then ile stick to what i got.

It looks like it's worse in every regard (the other guy's laptop).

It also sounds like an ATi Radeon HD 4200 - an integrated GPU, which can't be upgraded at all (because it's part of the northbridge and chipset).

Don't do the trade, and have a look at the Acer MXM thread instead.

Not only that but if you get the right cable you could get a 1080p screen.



9600m GT 1GB GDDR3

1080p screen

14.8v high capacity battery



That should make a difference! hehe.

i was wanting to upgrade my screen but was not sure if it could be done.

Can't remember off the top of my head.



If you search 6920G WUXGA cable or 1080p cable 6920G on the forums its been listed before. WUXGA Cables from the 6935g might also work.

hiya aother update on this.



ive got the laptop for the weekend to have alook at and check the specs ect.



ive cracked it open and found that you cannot add a gpu (unless solder one onto mobo) and its the ATI Radeon HD 4200 GPU



and the CPU is a AMD Athlon II X2 Processor M300 2GHZ 1MB L2
