BFBC2 horrible input lag and hardlocks with y460

In the past day or so I have started experiencing massive amounts of input lag while playing BFBC2 multiplayer. It pretty much happens nonstop, and makes the game completely unplayable. It seems almost exactly like the type of input lag that vertical sync sometimes causes, but vertical sync is not enabled ingame or in the ATI settings.

I have updated the video card drivers to 11.2, reinstalled the realtek audio drivers, and deleted the game video settings file in case it got corrupt. Changing video settings to minimum (or any other level) does not reduce the input lag or make it any worse; it stays exactly the same regardless of what I do.

This really puzzles me, since I haven't changed anything that I think could have caused this in the past week. I ran an antivirus scan and it came up clean except for the standard tracking cookies that are always there.

Another symptom of this problem seems to be the game completely locking up the computer. So far it has happened 3 times. Each time, the game freezes up and the sound rapidly loops. I get this issue form time to time on my desktop, but I have never had any hard locks on my laptop. When this happens, I have to do a hard restart.

I am using my G700 with the 500 hz polling rate. Running it in wired and wireless modes both produce the same input lag, so it isn't the wireless connection.

I'm not entirely sure, but the mouse lag also seems to be slightly present in everyday non-game usage as well, but it isn't quite as apparent as in game. I may reinstall the setpoint utility and see if that helps next.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what this could be?

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling BFBC2?

Also, what are your temps while playing?

Well I have it on steam so I am not exactly sure what reinstalling would constitute; I did "verify game cache" and it didn't help. I have a feeling this problem is not the game itself, but something else.

My temperatures are the same as they have been previously when this problem wasn't present; about 72 max for the CPU and 64ish for the GPU.
